Back in the US, Back is in the US, Back in the...

Hey everyone! Thanks for all the support we have been getting from Jen. Nat and I rode into Eureka, MT yesterday and to our surprise, Jen and Doug were there waiting for us! Seth's in laws, Mary and John have been very courteous and have put them up in Yaak, MT for a while well Jen heals! Huge thank you to the Loney's and to Seth!
The riding has been good. I got out and went mountain biking in Fernie a little. It was pretty cool stuff with lots of climbing. It seems like everyone there had really nice bikes and was definitely a mountain bike mecca in BC! We will have to return some day to explore around!

Two nights ago, Nat and I extended our ride a little longer so that we could have a shorter ride into the USA (in case we got stopped at customs). Well we ended up missing a turn for the campground and we found a beautiful beach to stay on! It was on the banks of Lake Koocanusa and was absolutely beautiful. Although the mountains seem to be getting a little smaller, the scenery is remaining spectacular!! Here is a picture of the campsite, and a little rain storm that rolled in around 10:30pm (notice how light it still is)

Well I think that is it for now. We are going to spend another night with Jen and Doug and then its on to Whitefish for our next adventure. Hopefully we will have some pictures of Glacier National Park when we get there!

Great to see Jen is doing better, and that they were both able to meet you at the border!

Hopefully you have left all the rain behind you in Canada, and that you have nothing but nice weather and great pictures to take along the next leg.

Take care all - I anxiously await to hear from you all again soon!

We missed you at the graduation activities yesterday. We had 25-30 guests under the large tent in the backyard. Great weather with blue skies, 85 degrees. Steve, grandpa, Anne, Denis, Pat Moore, Nancy, George, Heather, Connie, Abby, Bill, Lynne, Sarah, Chris Asselin, and Steve Smith all attended in addition to neighbors. The Tompson's had a larger neighborhood party later that evening.
Mom will mail your package tomorrow. I hope the first one catches up soon. They promised me it would get there by Thursday June 14, a lousy promise it turns out.
Take care. We love you. We enjoy your postings.

Doug and Jen, Thank you for the surprise phone call! Jen, I am very glad you are doing so well from the description of your fall you are a trooper, way to recover and proceed! Doug, it seems that you are putting your bike through the rigger I was going to ask what parts or components are malfunctioning or failing? I look forward to checking the blog and hearing from you guys in about a week. Sunscreen and hydration keep a cool head... Juan
